Belated Blog

Last weekend was Mike and I's 1 Year Anniversary!! We didn't really get to celebrate, but we did make time to eat cake (thank you Kendra for making us one of our wedding cakes again to mark the occasion!) and take a walk through Quarry Park in St. Cloud . It was beautiful....

...and so is he!

and have loved our first of MANY years together!!

We also spent our anniversary celebrating another special occasion - Isaac's baptism. Welcome to the church Isaac! And congratulations church on getting such a handsome young man, not to mention talented screamer and spitter! :)

Big weekend

This past weekend was a big one, with lots of celebrations!

For starters, my little sis graduated from college on Saturday -

CONGRATULATIONS JESI RAE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then Sunday brought the honoring of Moms! We started out with our annual Nystrom-family Mother's Day Brunch at my uncle's house, where all the men bring the meal and do the cooking and serving, and all the women get to eat first. I'm not big on the whole "ladies first" cliché, but this one time a year I'm willing to take advantage of it (the men in my family are really good cooks!) Then our immediate family all gathered at my place for games,

a trip to the ice-cream shop (yummm, Mr. Twisty's!),

and fun at the park.

It was fun - and the first time (I think ever) that Mom has had ALL NINE of her children together on her special day (not to mention a grandchild). It was special!
